American loafers

If you were one of the first skins in the 60's then you'll love a real American loafer.
(above Loake)Loafers existed before the introduction of the Weejun, below is the Bass version of the penny loafer on Amazon these are around 100 pounds, always put a one cent piece in the gap.

with sta-prest from Warrior (above) or M and S super light weight chinos.
The Warrior shirt below could go well with all the rest mentioned. bass larkinBass Men's Logan Shoe
I personally only wear authentic 1968 Shermans in Oxford 100 per cent cotton.(do you remember that whoever  had a poly cotton second string sherman was a wanker?)Bass Men's Larkin Shoe

I have them made up now by braving the shit hole called Gold hawk fucking Mombasa road and getting great top notch designer material in one of the Moslem Muslim shopsLaundered Oxford Shoreditch Collar(as regards the shirt material )and then a fanatical Cuntchester United fan makes em up for me.(Ben Sherman as they are made now in the States or as theyy are sold there)below warrior

Remembrer a good loafer is not an alternative to boat shoes cos boat shoes are worn by wankers. Wear them on a fuckin boat so you dont fall off but dont wear em trying to give it large cos they shite bad.In 1933, the Spaulding Leather Company turned out its version of the loafer. Avoid Doc ;Martens loafers unless you can try them on first cos the fit is really bad bruv.Bass, however, was the first company to add the band with its signature opening. In the 1970s, the shoes became an essential part of the Preppy look(below great Harrington from warrior to go with the sta prest above)Harrington Jacket STEEL BLUE.Below is Ikon version. They got it wrong , spend the extra for Loakes or Bass. Bass introduced a slimmer version of the shoe called the Dover Weejun in 2009.Below Sperry top sider, well shite, avoid you need the authentic American look.

In the 1940s and 1950s, Weejun wearers started slipping dimes--the price of a pay telephone call--into the shoe pockets. Pennies, the shinier the better, came later as a matter of style.

Effects
Penny loafers have inspired numerous imitations in wide price ranges. A leather Prada version is priced at nearly $400, whereas the leather Bass Weejun sells for $125.these Bass in light tan are around a hundred poundsBelow Loake Brighton loafer, a good substitute for the bass if not better.

Popularity
The penny loafer got a boost in popularity when famous people such as actor James Dean, President John F. Kennedy and singer Michael Jackson wore them in public.beef roll loafers these look shite to be honest, too much like boat shoes.bass
