the last real bargains in europe are in the salento, this courtyard dwelling in the historic centre of nardo is yours straight away for about 25,000 pounds and it doesnt need much more than a paint job. The downside is that theres no heating but thats not a prob as you will be going here in the summer and the last thing you need will be heating its nearly always 40 degrees, its powerfully hot in summer and most of your time will be on the beach ten minutes down the road, the italians dont like these places in the historic centres of Southern Italian towns they prefer modern no character flats so its yourts for the asking but it wont be like that forever.
you have a roof where with the right scaping you can add jacuzzi and leafy shading plus tiles , most Italians use their roofs jusdt for their washing as they are all flat, youve got as palace on the way.

Fish is the thing here, its good , maybe not as good as a good fish and chip shop in the Uk but not bad.
