The original 34 foot Airstream, which was discovered in Denton, Texas, was completely gutted and then retrofitted with reclaimed wood floors, modular shelving, and all kinds of vintage storage and decorative items. Unbelievably, there is even a couch on one end of the mobile shop, and Aether’s entire fall line is efficiently displayed. Although the space is said to be somewhat tight, this is one of the coolest adaptive reuse programs we’ve seen in a while.
If you’re in L.A., why not head down to 8207 3rd Street for a look at the AETHERstream before it’s hauled off to New York, where it is expected to arrive in mid-November. Aether’s one-of-a-kind mobile pop-up shop is open 7 days a week from 11am to 7pm!
