SUITS THAT DONT MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A "MOORGATE SUIT"

Is there anything more depressing than watching the suits tramp their way home from London Moorgate in their shining with age poly cotton suits that they may well have found in an Oxfam shop ,(the suits wear poly cotton shirts and when coming out of their office always put their jacket and tie in the rucksuck they always carry and go home like that in any kind of weather, very strange confusional people. We call them "THE SHIRTS" in highbury) there is no reason for that of course , a great suit can be found in London for 100 pounds if you look around.(the above is marred by the fact it has a waistcoat which kills an otherwise great look, plus the crap tie, that doesnt go at all but such is the nutters at Marks and Spencer who are to fashion what Attila the hun was to flower arrangement)The one below is currently 300 pounds but for sure will go down to 150 -100 , combine it with the shirt and tie but change the white shirt for a good Oxford button down .
(above a charles caine monti shirt currently on offer for 25 pounds instead of 50, these are some of the best of the market, based exactly on a 68 ben sherman shirt when bens were the bizznezz)A good oxford button down is a much more versatile shirt than this Marks and Spencer offering as it can be worn casually with anything .The A/W14 ‘DK x LC’ collection marks a  collaboration with Ireland’s most-renowned and iconic tailor – Louis Copeland, and I feel that it is the strongest offering to date. A capsule collection of six suits – all made from the finest Italian fabrics, in the season’s most notable hues – and two overcoats, the Autumn Winter range is the perfect marrying of style and versatility, as each piece can be worn on its own, or as separates woven into already-existing pieces from any guy’s wardrobe.Working with Louis –The result, I feel, is a range of suits that appeals to both the classic and contemporary customer.'The-Ferguson'---Bright-blue-flannel-pinstripe-3-piece-suit
The theme of this season’s collection is ‘Adventurers and Inventors’ and each suit is named after a famous Irish explorer. The George, for example is named after Irish physicist, George Johnstone Stoney and features a wide-peak lapel that is crafted from a fabric sourced from the Delfino mill in Napoli, Italy. Attention to detail is always at the forefront when  designing each suit, so much so, that each waistcoat features a woollen flannel fabric back, which is taken in to the gentleman’s exact measurements, meaning there’s no fussing about with an adjustor!
The Tom (called after Irish explorer, Tom Creen) – a grey window pane, double-breasted check suit  Think of pairing the trousers with a roll-neck or wearing the jacket with contrast trousers. The two coats in the A/W/’14 collection – one in black and white herringbone with a contrasting black and velvet collar and the other in luxurious burgundy brushed wool – combine the classic with the contemporary and are going to speak for themselves, whether you dress them up or down.

If you want to stay on the straight and narrow because maybe you do not have great fashion sense then stick to the idea of the Italian mode of dressing , suits and jackets that hug the outline of the body without being too tight , do not try and be eccentric , if you havent got it then it doesnt workabove an example of style gone wrong. Avoid Beige like the plague and get colours that suit your skin tone.Ties should be ones that you can wear to work but also sexy enough to meet your lover in a select wine bar for instance.

Dont go down the Marks and spencer path or the Drakes path (Marks and spencer better made) but choose ties of gossamer lightness like this Mila Schon tie 4o pounds on sale at Charles Caine shirts , normally 140 . Without doubt the best around anywhere.in fact the best .Why is a tie important well if a tie is good then you ooze class that means ruling out anything that is one of those china ties marks and spencers do (too bulkily put together ) or their brother in a bespoke life =Drakes , too costly for what it is . The same thing with many other companies that have big reputations regarding handmade ties ( one in Naples called Marinella )because the result is , lets be honest, boring.  Below Mila Schon ties, the best , very little padding if any and gossamer silk in designs perfect for the evening out , you are not saying "Im a wanker who works in an office with this tie".
