Brogues can go either way. About 1 million people, maybe 1 billion, a day wear them with a suit, even though they are country shoes it doesn't look weird at all. Look less great with jeans, khaki's, but good with harris or donegal tweed whatever. the country look then. They are technically "casual," but there are tons of balmoral brogues out there that look very formal and refined, and look fantastic with suits (although I wouldn't pair them with a tux, but who cares?). I got a pair of white brogues that I wear with pretty much anything but a suit unless its my linen one in biscuit. But years of not thinking about it led me to not get that elusive pair of white brogue, even though they are supreme in Summer and comparable to the gangsta in Savvanah sitting on his front porch of his quaint southern-style abode in the backwoods of Mississippi sippin’ moonshine and listening to "Cant get Started". This is merely an afterthought after some of the incredible white brogue releases as of late. What to wear with them well add a chester barrie shirt above and below
From Tricker’s for Present to Leffot Gibson, or even the McNairy for Epaulet suede longwings from a year ago, the refreshing simplicity of the shoe is engraved in my head. Of course, with a pair of grey Mohair two tones made to measure and a sky blue oxford colour buttondown shirt you get a better look because the shoes are the touch. Not too overbearing, not too subtle. Or these Chester Barrie shirts undone at the neck .They always look good during the warmer months.
For the younger male this Oxford from Asos looks good.
Never too late to add a pair now, as I don’t think my mind will allow me to move on to another shoe idea until I've done so. Church’s originates from Northampton, the English town with more historical ties to shoe making than any other. Their new shop on London’s New Bond Street will be reassuringly traditional with a classic cherry wood interior. ‘Church's have stayed true to their design ethos and created only traditional flat shoes in the form of lace-ups and brogues, cut specially for a foot,’ they say.ben sherman
Shoes make the man but a pair of wingtips makes the man interesting. Wingtips are back in style in a big way right now and with the plethora of possible shoe designs to chose from, our favorite right now is the Men’s White Wingtip Brogue with Micro Sole by Thom Browne. White wingtips are hard to find and Thom Browne has made it a bit easier while making the design current by adding red and white to the sole of the shoe with a bright blue heel.
Bright colors were the way to go this

I saw these yesterday and really love the look of them. If you are a man, you cannot be without a pair of brogues or plain brogues – particularly in a white colour. I have seen many brogues in white but majority don’t quite do it for me. Many look cheap and tacky. This pair are spot on, quite classy and would make a wonderful addition to any gentlemen’s wardrobe.
