french resort

From Etretat to Yport...
esort
Vaucottes (valleuse de Vattetot-sur-mer - D4)

A tiny beach that lies on a picturesque road from Vattetot through Les Hogues woods. It can also be reached via the coast road from Yport. There is a dizzying bird’s eye view of the cliffs! This is sublime scenery! On the rolling hillsides are impressive villas, the summer residences of the

industrial barons of Northern France in the early 20th century. Many of them are timbered like the local cottages. Often they are built in an eclectic
architectural style with bow windows and balconies.
They serve as reminders of a prestigious history (the Town Hall in Yport is another superb example of seaside architecture).
Discovery

Seaside resort with strong links to fishing fraternity over its long history. Numerous luxury villas reflect diverse architectural styles and were once
home to famous people such as Maupassant and Gide. Still a quiet, picturesque place.
