She was young, delightful, gullible and controlled by her boyfriend who got her into the lucrative nude model business that hounded her, abused her privacy and finally she took her own life. I am still sad about this. Causes: There seem to be two versions of what happened: that she died in "mysterious cicrcumstances" in Portugal or that she was murdered in London by a stalker. Whatever the truth it seems that she died in 1975 at the age of just 21rying to put a post together on the life and death of carol augustine the famous model , do you have anything you can add? She was on a modelling shoot on location, probably Portugal. She was found asphyxiated on her own vomit. There was talk of her having taken drugs the night before. I worked in a well known model agency at the time and this was the version of Carole's death that we all heard,
